Allotments
Gardening is a great way to be involved with the great outdoors – it's a good way to take light exercise, to be involved with nature, to watch the seeds that you sow grow into mature plants, and, what's more, you get to eat lovely fresh fruit and vegetables as a reward!
The current cost of an allotment plot, Sept 2024/25, is £5.50 Square Meters (per pole) meaning a 5 pole plot will cost you just £27.50 per year.
If you are over 18 and a Daventry resident you can apply to Daventry Town Council to have an allotment on one of our five sites:-
- Daneholme has 42 plots and is situated at the top of Welton Road
- Drayton East has 52 plots and Drayton West has 48 plots. They are situated at the end of Orchard Street
- Staverton Road has 27 plots and is situated on Western Avenue
- Welton Road has 31 plots and is situated at the bottom of Welton Road
