Meet Up Dates and Projects
The team have been running craft meet ups at the museum since early 2022. In Christmas 2022 we made a 15 ft high crochet tree for the town centre (you can still see the video below) and for Christmas 2023 we had Random Acts of Crafty Kindness when crafters made decorations for trees that appeared in the town's shops and were given away before the shops closed for Christmas! The Coronation Post-Box topper for the King's Coronation in 2023 was a wonderful team effort from this group of super friendly crafters (see the pics below). Why not join us, everyone is welcome! Bring your own projects or if you would like some yarn and needles we're happy to provide them. We can also teach knitting and crochet if you would like to learn!
Daventry Town Crafters meet on Saturdays at 2pm until 4pm are held in Daventry Town Council and Museum, 3 New Street (disabled access via Church Walk).

Christmas Tinsel Hat Project 2024!
This year we have decided to knit and crochet hats of any kind, size, design, colour or yarn, but preferably with a pom-pom on top! We will then string these together and display them like beautiful wintery tinsel on our real Christmas tree on Daventry High Street. They will then be laundered and given in January to charity and those in need.
If you would like to make a hat or three please do so and drop them into the museum or at one of our Daventry Town Crafters Saturday meeting dates (deadline is Saturday 26 October). You can use any pattern you like and if you need some help or inspiration just check out the Daventry's Crochet & Knitting Group on Facebook or for materials and notions come along to a craft meet up (dates above) everyone is welcome!

King's Coronation Post-Box Topper!
The Coronation Post-Box topper was up in Market Square and it looked just brilliant, we had so many positive comments and thank-you's!!
A huge thank you to Gail, Vini, Julie, Kate and Ellie for their contributions.
The knitting and crochet group is made up of lovely lovely people who all have a crafty streak and want to share this with others.
