Classic Northants Bus Tours Come To Daventry!

Join Daventry Town Council and our friends at Northampton Transport Heritage, by enjoying a FREE bus tour on a classic bus following an on old town route, all in celebration of this years National Heritage Open Days.

In 2022 the Heritage Open Days festival will run for ten consecutive days from Friday 9th to Sunday 18th September. Each year the festival has grown and further developed and so has Daventry's plans which we are delighted to now share.

We are thrilled to partner with Northampton Transport Heritage to bring some of their heritage buses to Daventry to recreating Local United Counties & Midland Red Bus Routes. Best of all passengers get to ride the routes for FREE!

WHEN: Saturday 17th September 2022

TIME: 10am – 3pm

WHERE: Market Square, Daventry

ENTRY: FREE bus rides. There is an optional purchase of a programme and timetable which will be available from Market Square for a small fee. Funds will go towards the upkeep and maintenance of the heritage buses.

Buses will be leaving throughout the day between 10am and 3pm.
With classic routes taking you in style to and around, Ashby St Ledgers, Badby, Braunston, Northampton, Norton, Staverton, Weedon and Welton. Enjoy as many routes as you wish and experience the magic of these beautiful vehicles!

*PLEASE NOTE: All vehicles are subject to availability and crew availability.The bus tours coincide with Daventry Farmers Market and the Daventry Museum Radar Experiment Event, which will allow visitors to recreate the famous experiment and discover its origins - all a nod to this year's Heritage Open Days "Astounding Inventions" theme.
