Daventry Skies Light Up at Town's Fireworks Display

Daventry Skies Light Up at Town's Fireworks Display

The skies over Daventry were alight with colour at Daventry Town Council's annual Fireworks Spectacular Display held on Saturday, 04 November 2023. Starting at 7.30pm, the display was orchestrated and choreographed by local award-winning fireworks company MLE Pyrotechnics.

This year's production was set to an eclectic soundtrack of nostalgic and classic songs mixed with remixes and current tunes. The fireworks event was hailed a success by visitors, who quickly uploaded and shared their pictures on social media.

Joining us on the night were an array of food and drink vendors serving a wide range of yummy hot food and drinks, plus autumnal sweet and savoury treats, including German sausages, noodles, hog roast, burgers, hot doughnuts, candy floss, retro sweets, and cakes plus various tea and coffee options. The retailers reported a successful night of trading and were pleased to welcome new and returning customers.

Cllr. Ted Nicholl, Mayor of Daventry, was in attendance and said:

"Daventry's Fireworks Display has become incredibly popular over the years, drawing high numbers of visitors from near and far, and this year was no exception! It was great to welcome so many people and light up the Daventry skies! We were delighted to be able to host such a large event free of charge, and thank you to The Parker E-ACT Academy for letting us use their facilities to make it all possible to deliver a fantastic show of pyrotechnics and entertainment.

There is a lot involved in the organisation and logistics of this event, so thank you to Daventry Town Council staff who helped make everything happen and ensure everyone was kept safe."

Daventry Town Council was thrilled to host such a well-received event and thank visitors for their attendance and complementary feedback post-display. We want to extend our thanks to the following who helped make the event such a success:

Juice Sound and Lighting team from Daventry who worked so hard in challenging weather during the set-up. They provided all the event production including sound and lighting; Calvin Hanks our Health & Safety Consultant; the fantastic stewards from New Age Training and Recruitment; CCTV provided by local Daventry company Crimesecure Ltd; medical aid by SSG Medical and our wonderful Compere Peter Wylie.

A huge thank you to the E-Act Parker School for helping facilitate the event and ensuring that everyone had a fantastic evening.
