Daventry's FREE Fireworks Spectacular Goes off with a Bang
Daventry Town Council was thrilled to invite residents and visitors to its annual Fireworks Spectacular event on Saturday 2nd November 2024. This community event took place at the E-Act Parker School and featured a dazzling display of fireworks orchestrated and choreographed by Daventry based International Award-Winning fireworks company MLE Pyrotechnics.
This year's production was set to a soundtrack of nostalgic and classic songs combined with remixes and current tracks. The fireworks event was hailed a success by visitors and town councillors alike who attended the popular event.
Comments left on the DTC social profiles following the event included:
"Daventry Town Council absolutely SMASHED it with this year's fireworks. The whole display was amazing, the music was banging. It was giving London NYE vibes – top job to all involved"
The gates opened at 6pm, so that visitors could come early to enjoy hot food and drinks from local traders serving a wide range of yummy hot food and drinks, plus autumnal sweet and savoury treats, including German sausages, noodles, hog roast, burgers, Shawarma Kebabs, hot doughnuts, candy floss, retro sweets, and cakes plus various tea and coffee options. The retailers reported a successful night of trading and were pleased to welcome new and returning customers.
Cllr. Karen Tweedale, Mayor of Daventry, was in attendance and said:
"Daventry's Fireworks Display is a much-loved traditional event and something I look forward to attending each year. This year's display was brilliant and so well attended, making for a warm atmosphere and community spirit. Well done to DTC for delivering another superb free family-friendly event, enabling us all to come together and enjoy the festivities. Thank you to The Parker E-ACT Academy for letting us use their facilities to showcase such a fantastic show of pyrotechnics and entertainment."
